Let's join hands for a noble cause

New projects, which have the potential to change Nagpur, are not new for this city. So is the fact that due to lack of commitment and fervor on the part of our leaders to emphatically push it to its logical completion the projects drag for years and become redundant. The projects start with a pomp and end like a silent funeral. I feel, we Nagpurians , are also equally responsible for this lackadaisical attitude towards our own welfare.

Butibori, supposed to be the largest Industrial Estate in Asia (this term is often used when somebody is not sure of the exact size) started as a project which had potential to change the face of Vidarbha. A industrial revolution was believed to begin. However, nothing of the sort happened. There are only a few large industries in the area now.

Irrigation projects are another sector where we have faced a lot of hurdles. let me not speak about the backlog. It has become a cliche. Projects like establishment of Premier Institutes like IIM, IIIT and Biotechnology move to Pune as if the city is the only city with available infrastructure. The Post Graduate Medical Institute in Nagpur- another dream project is struggling with its own juvenile ailments.

Nagpurians are considered to be tolerant, submissive and ignorant of their own welfare. In spite of immense potential we are treated like substandard, secondary, grade two city.

Let us wake up to reality. Let us ignite the fire in us. Let is change our world.

This time we wont allow anybody to move what we deserve- to some other area just because we have no strong leaders to fight for us. Why do we need leaders? We can fight for us and on our own.

Let us write to all the decision makers.

Let us join hands to help Nagpur gain its rightful share!

If you think you can please write an Email to the following people-
