As you might be aware VED had filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Nagpur bench of Bombay Highcourt regrding the delay in transfer of Airport by AAI (Airports Authority of India). In response to it the Advocate General had pointed out that it being a policy decision it doesn't come under the purview of Judiciary. They had given a time frame of 6 months for actual transfer of airport. Three months have already passed.
I think other way of knowing the exact status is to file a question under RTI (Right to Information Act) under which Ministry of Civil Aviation may be asked about the details. It doesn't fall under any National Security or Defence relalted issue and as such there is no reason why the Ministry should not reply.
